According to research by Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index, the rating reached 92.4, the highest level in seven years. Job growth led to the optimism. Consumers stating jobs are "plentiful" increased to 18.2 percent from 15.6 percent. Consumers who believe jobs are "hard to get" declined marginally to 30.6 percent from 30.9 percent.
