Located at the north end of the barrier islands in Manatee County, an easy drive to Bradenton, The old, established villages of this area just south of Tampa Bay was first settled in the late 1800’s. Most of the development occurred after World War II and now is a popular tourist destination and many winter residences.
Venice Island and Nearby Venice:
Venice, Florida is one of the still relatively “undiscovered” cities in Florida. The quaint island enclave has a beautiful down town area with many fine restaurants and shops. There are condos in a wide range of prices on the beach and around the island within a short walk of the beach. There are also very affordable condos off the island from where the adventurous can walk or bike or take a short car or moped ride. A visit to Venice is not complete without a visit to Sharkey’s on the Pier where you can fish, watch the sunset, have dinner and drinks and dance the night away!
These condos are on Gasparilla Island and the town of Boca Grande. The long, narrow barrier island has miles of unspoiled beaches and a beautiful, quiet small town that retains the ambiance of Old Florida.

Englewood Beach is also on Manasota Key. Englewood Beach offers some very affordable condos that are not immediately on the barrier island but a bike ride or short car ride away and still very near the beach.
