According to the Florida Association of Realtors, number of sales of existing homes in Florida during the month of April, 2006, fell an astounding 26 percent from the same month a year ago. In Charlotte County, the drop was 15%. The reduction of median sale price also continued to fall with a drop of 12% to $197,100 from $223,400 in April 2006.

Condo sales also fell across the state with a reduction of 19%. In charlotte County the number of condos sold fell 33% and the sale price fell 3% to $163,300. According to Suncoasteam research, which focuses on Charlotte County neighborhoods to give a much better idea of price trends, PGI had a bit of a rebound in April, recording 11 sales with a median sale price of $200,000.
