Get ready Punta Gorda Florida!!!! Next weekend (Sept 26th, 27th & 28th) we will be kicking off October (and Oktoberfest Days) early with the 1st Annual Bavarian Bash! There will be 3 days of live music, food, German Beer (of course) & family fun! The largest tent ever constructed in Punta Gorda will be right downtown between Hwy 41 N & Hwy 41 S & Retta Esplanade & Marion.
The activities will include lots of traditional fun Bavarian events… Willkommen Opening Ceramonies, A Beer Stein Holding Contest, Beer Stein Races, a Cigar Roller, Craft Show Village, an Authentic Food Village with all of your favorite German foods, a Munich Themed Biergarten , a Mini Carnival with Rides, a Car Show & all Kinds of Music! The musical acts will include Peter DeFranco on Accordion, The HafenKapelle Band (a typical German band with 22 members that play mostly German favorites, but also Pop & Big Band), Strong Side Draw (a great Country Band from SW Florida) & A. J. Vincent (winner of “Best Keyboards of Austin” at the Austin Chronicle’s annual Austin Music Awards)!
Admission is only $3 for ages 12 and up… if the kids are 11 & under, they get in free! Come out one or all 3 days & kick off the fall season with gusto! It’s gonna be a GREAT weekend in downtown Punta Gorda!
