A one half size reproduction of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, DC is in the planning stages for Charlotte County, FL. The Vietnam Wall of Southwest Florida Committee, a group of military veterans, are promoting the project. A model of the project was constructed with the cooperation of the drafting class of Port Charlotte High School and the Charlotte County Technical School. Instructor Ken Smith helped the students create the model that will include the names of more than 58,000 soldiers who gave their lives in service to our country.
