According to a report by the Florida Association of Realtors, sale of single family homes in the state was up 24.4% in November 2012 as compared to November 2011.

The median sales price for Florida single-family homes in November 2012 was $150,000, up 11.2% from a year ago.

In Charlotte County, FL, there were 240 single family homes sold in November 2012 with a median price of $128,000. In November 2011, there were 240 homes sold with a median price of $107,000.

In Sarasota County, FL, there were 554 single family homes sold in November 2012 with a median price of $155,000. In November 2011, there were 471 homes sold with a median price of $135,000.

While the number of homes remained steady in Charlotte county, the sold price rose significantly. In Sarasota County both the number of sales and the sold price showed strong increases.
