There has been a lot of talk in the news about how Florida real estate is in the tank. Many people are calling this bad news and complaining. During 2004 through 2006, there was crazy real estate speculating going on in all areas of the country and now prices have come back to earth.
Here in Southwest Florida, things are back to normal. I guess all the “bad press” has made people decide to shop… hey, that’s why you’re reading this, isn’t it? Sales have picked up significantly (at least at your Suncoasteam brokerage) and we are negotiating bargain sale prices unseen since 2004. I like it much better this way. People can once again afford to buy a nice home (or condo or land). Sales traffic is very good and the sales are relaxed. All this “bad press” has been good for business. People know there are deals to be made and they are out there making deals.
