According to a report by the Florida Association of Realtors®, real estate in Florida closed more sales than the same period a year prior.
Florida’s unemployment rate is lower than the national average which may have helped the real estate sales situation.
The statewide price of single family homes showed an increase of 18.6% over the same period a year ago. The price of townhomes and condos increased by 23.8% over the same period.
In the Charlotte County / Punta Gorda area, the median sale price was up 28.3% over the third quarter of 2012. In the Sarasota / Manatee counties area, the median sale price was up 17.8%
