If you’ve ever experienced a missing pet, you know the stressful and emotional toll it can take on you and your family. Many people spend time hanging signs and driving around the neighborhood looking for their companion. A lost pet is at the mercy of its unknown world, exposed to the natural elements, and dangerous predators. This problem is only compounded in Florida where there are many beautiful, yet deadly forms of wildlife lurking in wooded areas and bodies of water, not to mention the heat that we experience in the summer. For a lost pet, this could spell disaster. With nearly half of Siesta Key’s tourists having pets, the need for a lost pet hotline is not something that is new to the public.
Judi Moore, a Siesta Key Edward Jones financial adviser, has taken it upon herself to start a lost pet hotline in Siesta Key. It’s a service, exclusive to Siesta Key, to help bring lost pets home. Getting started is easy– all you have to do is register.
You can register one of several ways:
- Call 941-749-LOOK and leave your information
- Send an email to judi.moore@earthlink.net
- Stop by the Edward Jones office, 5112 Ocean Blvd., Siesta Key to sign up
