The Long Meadow neighborhood of Rotonda West was the fourth section to be developed. Located at “2 o’clock” on the rotonda, the east-northeast section, Long Meadow is built around the Long Marsh Golf Course. The 27-hole Long Marsh Golf Club is comprised of three 9-hole courses; Long Marsh, White Marsh, and Pine Valley, and features 7,120 yards from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 74.2 and it has a slope rating of 128 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Ted McAnlis, the Long Marsh golf course opened in 1999.
The majority of homes in Long Meadow were built after the mid 1990s and through the 2000s. Long Meadow homes are generally a little larger on average than in the earlier built sections. In addition newer homes have more modern features and meet higher building codes for storm protection.
