Sunseeker Resort construction grows taller with each passing day. The construction crews are working hard. Cranes turn, trucks enter and leave.

Allegiant Airlines broke ground on the twenty-two acre resort site March, 2019. Construction halted March, 2020 due to Covid and a precipitous drop in airline travel.

Construction crews are making remarkable progress. Allegiant Travel Company, a subsidiary of Allegiant Airlines, hopes to open the resort in early 2023 or possibly earlier.

Phase one of the resort located on Charlotte Harbor will include a one-thousand foot pool and other amenities. A harbor walk and a number of restaurants will be open to the public.

Allegiant Airlines will make it easy to visit the Charlotte Harbor resort. When passengers arrive at Punta Gorda airport, Allegiant Travel Company will meet their guests and transport them quickly and safely to the hotel only minutes away.

Allegiant Travel Company will began taking Sunseeker Resort Reservations 2023 for guests soon. Those interested can make reservations on Allegiant Travel Company website: www.sunseekerresorts.com. To be certain the resort has opened as planned, the site will make available reservations for May, June and July, 2023. If the resort opens sooner, earlier dates will be announced. Sunseeker Resort in Charlotte Harbor, FL has officially announced the restart of construction. According to John Redmond, President of Allegiant Airline, the resort developer, opening is planned for early 2023 or maybe even late in 2022. The resort will have 19 restaurants and bars, 18 open to the public. There will be two swimming pools and a private golf course for guests and members. Two towers will be devoted to 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites complete with cooking and laundry facilities. Other buildings will be the hotel.

Allegiant Airlines has issued a Sunseeker Resort Update. With construction well under way, the expected opening date will be in 2021.

There are currently at least five large construction cranes on the site with a large crew of construction workers. As one drives along US 41 at the north side of the Punta Gorda-Port Charlotte bridge, the large 25 plus acre site is bustling with activity. Concrete forms are now rising to build the foundations for the new hotel buildings. The infusion of construction workers has brought a lot of income to Charlotte County but housing is in short supply. Sunseeker Resort is expected to create at least 800 permanent jobs in the area.

They have purchased Kingsway Golf Course, a beautiful country club and course in Port Charlotte. It will close in early 2020 for a complete renovation and open again before the Sunseeker Resort officially opens. Plans are to shuttle visitors to the resort who wish to play golf, directly to the course from the Charlotte Harbor complex, saving the hassle of finding the course, a parking site and toting golf clubs.
